Sinter-All® Furnace

The Lindberg Sinter-All® hydrogen-atmosphere, electric retort box furnace is the ideal furnace for cost effective sintering and infiltrating powder metal components. The furnace’s control system incorporates numerous interlocks and alarm modes for safe operation. A microprocessor based programmable controller is the heart of the system. Silicon carbide resistor elements positioned above and below the retort provide heat. The furnace is engineered to provide precise metallurgic results on a consistent basis. Temperature range to 2100°F.

The atmosphere (hydrogen) system is interlocked to the retort to provide a timed nitrogen purge prior to manually introducing hydrogen. Components for the system are housed in the furnace support stand. The atmosphere control system energizes a pneumatic cylinder door lock to prevent opening the retort with the furnace in cycle. Positive verification of the door closure is assured by two door-mounted proximity switches interface to the control system. The system has an automatic nitrogen purge that is initiated at cycle start, cycle complete, during alarm conditions, and at emergency stop. The system is capable of operating with atmospheres ranging from pure nitrogen or hydrogen to mixtures of the gases depending on your process needs
