Pacemaker Companion Draw Furnace
Lindberg Companion Draw furnaces are designed to provide fast processing
speeds and total flexibility in a modular heat treating system. Both
gas and electric draw furnaces offer optimum production efficiencies
when used in conjunction with Lindberg Pacemaker® furnace systems,
whether in-out, straight-through or two-chamber configurations. These
versatile draw furnaces also deliver excellent results when used with
other heat treating systems. Electric units operate on 230/460V, 60 Hz.
power supply. Gas units operate on 8 oz. natural gas pressure (1050 BTU/CF)
or propane mixture.
Features / Benefits
Exclusive to Electric Models
- Incoloy-sheathed heating elements are shielded
from directly radiating on the workload by the stainless steel
circulation baffles. They
are mounted in the roof plugs and are easily serviceable from the furnace
exterior.
- An SCR controller with time proportioning output regulates
the element contactor. An excess temperature cutoff instrument is
connected to a standard backup contactor.
Exclusive to Gas-fired Models
- An excess air burner fires into an open
tube through the upper rear wall of the furnace. The burner flame
is shielded from directly
radiating on the workload by the stainless steel baffle.
- A solid state controller
controls the motorized burner and an excess temperature cutoff instrument
is included.
All Models
- A roof-mounted plug type fan is utilized for high capacity
airflow and ease of service. A magnetic proximity switch monitors
the rotation and will shut down power and sound an alarm if the fan is
not operable.
- Stainless steel recirculation baffles guide the airflow
from the
fan, past the heating source and up through the workload
to maximize temperature uniformity throughout the workload. A fresh air
inlet and outlet, with dampers, is included to provide both
low temperature operation and the ability to vent fumes
that may
arise due to the workload being processed.
- Insulation consists of
lightweight, low heat storage insulation with a stainless steel interior.
- The
furnace shell is fabricated from 3/16” thick steel plate with
structural reinforcement. The front plate of the
furnace is fabricated from a ½” thick steel plate.
- The
front door is pneumatically operated vertical lift type with manually
operated 3-way valve, air filter, regulator and
lubricator mounted and prepiped.
- The furnace consists of HK alloy roller rails
and includes a chain guide.
- Lindberg companion draw furnaces are fully
prepiped and prewired. A completely wired control cabinet includes
instruments,
pushbuttons, control circuit transformer, motor starters and relays.
The furnace needs only to be connected to air, water, gas and/or electrical
supplies and the unit is ready for operation.
