End-of-the-Year Recap: Looking Back on 2016

New Image

As the year comes to a close, we’re looking back at some of our top accomplishments and favorite initiatives completed in 2016. From an award from our local Chamber of Commerce to our commitment to workplace safety and the environment and even the unveiling of our latest facility, here’s what Lindberg/MPH has been up to in 2016.

Lindberg/MPH Named Entrepreneur of the Year

In February 2016, we were honored to be presented with the Cornerstone Chamber of Commerce’s “2015 Manufacturing Entrepreneur of the Year” award. We’re very proud of this achievement and of the work we’ve done right here in our own community. With over 100 years of service, we’ve long been dedicated to both our employees and our community, from our partnership with Lake Michigan College to our ongoing investments in education and partnerships with community organizations.

New Lindberg/MPH West Coast Facility Opens

Our new state of the art manufacturing plant opened in Brea California in March, allowing us to more competitively serve our West Coast customers. The new facility will help speed up delivery times and reduce freight costs; service costs and service calls will also be more affordable for the West Coast as well. The new facility ensures that our West Coast customers receive the same great level of service our Midwest customers have enjoyed from the start.

Increased Focus on Energy Efficiency

Our natural resources are more important than ever, and in 2016, Lindberg/MPH renewed our commitment to energy efficiency and green operations. By continuing to focus on energy efficient features and insulations we can help reduce energy consumption and help individuals and corporations reduce their own carbon footprints. According to EnergyStar, improving the energy efficiency of insulation can reduce energy consumption in a building by up to 15%, a significant savings. Efficient product design and production ensures that we’re conserving in our own facility, but that all the end users can conserve as well.

Signing on with United Way

Our team donned the United Way of Southwest Michigan (UWSM) colors and signed the United Way jersey this year. UWSM is part of a national network of more than 1,300 locally governed organizations that work as community partners to create lasting positive changes in local communities. United Way is committed to advancing the common good by focusing on Education, Income and Health - the building blocks for a good life. Our team is proud to be a part of the United Way of Southwest Michigan and excited for the opportunity to make a difference in our community!

Celebrating 4 Years of Injury Free Operation

In June, Lindberg/MPH reached an amazing safety milestone – 4 years without an injury or incident. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration oversees the safety and protections of employees in manufacturing and other environments. While they set the minimal standards for safety, our proactive approach to workplace safety has helped us create a secure environment for our team and allows them to carry out their duties with confidence.

Management and employees have worked together to create a safe workplace and to take proactive action on creating the best possible environment and promoting education and training designed to keep our team safe. Routine safety audits and other initiatives ensure that all OSHA requirements are met or surpassed – and it works. We’ve just celebrated our 4th year in a row with no employee or workplace injuries and are proud to offer a safe and secure setting for our team to work in.

Looking back, we want to thank you for your business and for choosing us to meet your heating product needs. We’re committed to serving you and providing the best possible experience in 2017 and beyond.
